Syrian authorities blocked the Kurdish military initiative.

The Syrian Minister of Defense expressed his disagreement with the fact that the U.S.-backed Kurds have their own bloc in the general Syrian armed forces.
Kurdish Democratic Forces continue discussions on this issue, said the Syrian Minister of Defense, Abu Kasra.
'We want decentralization of power and integration with the Ministry of Defense as a military bloc,' said the Kurdish leader, Mazlum Abdi.
However, the Minister of Defense dismissed this proposal, stating that the Kurds may integrate into the existing military structure hierarchically.
Abu Kasra hopes for the completion of integration and the appointment of new high-ranking military officials by March 1.
The Kurds are an ethnic group living in various countries and facing challenges in gaining autonomy and recognition of their rights.
In northern Syria, the Kurds have established a self-proclaimed autonomous zone of Rojava.
