The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, is conducting a national campaign 'Burn the FSB agent', aimed at combating the recruitment of youth by Russian special services and preventing arson, terrorist acts, and sabotage. This was reported by the SBU.

The message states that arson of property belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, state institutions, or mining is classified as terrorism or sabotage with severe criminal liability even for minors.

One component of this campaign is the social video 'Burn the FSB agent', in which citizens, including youth, are informed about the inevitability of punishment for such crimes. Russian special services are particularly active in recruiting minors online, offering criminal activities.

During 2024, the SBU and the National Police detained over 450 individuals who, at the direction of Russian curators, were setting fire to property in Ukraine. All perpetrators of these crimes were identified by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. Instead of receiving 'easy money', the suspects faced charges from the SBU and the possibility of ending up in prison.

The video tells the story of two minors who agreed to the offer of the Russian FSB to commit a crime but ended up being apprehended by Ukrainian special services.

The SBU calls on youth to report attempts of recruitment through a special chatbot 'Burn the FSB agent' with the slogan 'Don't burn your own! Burn the enemy!'. It is enough to provide details of the enemy's offers, as well as the phone number or nickname of the person who incited the crime. All provided information is confidential and is verified by employees of the Security Service. The obtained data will help the SBU to fight more effectively against the intelligence-sabotage activities of the Russian special services.

Since the launch of the chatbot 'Burn the FSB agent' in mid-December 2024, over 1300 messages have been received. All of them concerned attempts to recruit Ukrainians by Russian special services to commit various crimes.
