How many military retirees of conscription age do not serve - figures.
According to data published in the 'EП' publication citing the Ministry of Social Policy, it has been revealed that there are 145.2 thousand conscription-age men in Ukraine who are not working, do not have disabilities, and are not serving in the Armed Forces.
Why military retirees of conscription age do not serve - details
Among former military and law enforcement officers receiving pension for years of service in Ukraine, there are 635.8 thousand people. According to information from the Ministry of Social Policy, among them, about 145.2 thousand conscription-age men are not serving in the Armed Forces.
The current legislation regarding special pensions for military and law enforcement personnel was adopted before the start of the war with Russia and provides for a number of benefits, such as the amount of pension, the possibility of early retirement, etc. However, this law does not provide any benefits for mobilized Ukrainians participating in the defense of the country. It is urged to review legislation to provide benefits for Combatants.
After receiving information from the Ministry of Social Policy, it was found that a significant number of conscription-age individuals entitled to receive pensions are not serving in the Armed Forces. This has raised questions about the fairness of distributing benefits in the area of social security among Ukrainian servicemen and law enforcement members.Read also
