Slaven Bilic's return to West Ham is possible

According to The Sun: Slaven Bilic could return to lead West Ham again if the club decides to dismiss Graham Potter.

The team has had a tough start to the season, and the pressure on Potter and the management is becoming more palpable.

Before the derby with Crystal Palace, where fan protests are planned, the club released an unusual statement of nearly 1400 words expressing support for their manager, who replaced Julen Lopetegui in January.

Nevertheless, senior officials emphasize that they fully support the former Chelsea manager but expect improvements in results.

West Ham is currently in the relegation zone, having one win and four losses in their first four Premier League matches.

Potter's position will be under threat if the situation does not change before the next international break, and some at the club are already calling for changes.

If Potter is dismissed, Bilic will be considered as one of the potential candidates for his position.

Bilic, a former West Ham player, managed the club for over two years until he was sacked in November 2017, and he could be considered as a potential interim manager.

The Croatian also managed West Bromwich and Watford, and his last job was with Al-Fateh in Saudi Arabia.

It is known that Bilic is open to returning to West Ham, although he has received other offers.

Among the candidates for the managerial position are also Sean Dyche and Nuno Espirito Santo, both currently out of work.

Bilic's successes with West Ham

In his first season, Bilic led West Ham to seventh place, allowing the team to play in the early rounds of the Europa League.

This season was the last for the club at the historic Boleyn Ground before they moved to London Stadium.

Bilic successfully signed Dimitri Payet from Marseille, whose performances earned him a nomination for the Ballon d'Or.

However, this master of free kicks caused a conflict with the club and left the team, returning to League 1 in January 2017.

In the following season, the team finished in eleventh place, and the former defender was replaced by David Moyes in the first half of the third season when the team was in 18th place in the Premier League.

Potter won only six of 24 matches as West Ham manager.

This leaves the manager with a win percentage of just 27.3%, which is only better than Avram Grant's record of 18.9% during his time at the club in the Premier League era.

He will get a chance to improve his record on Saturday when Crystal Palace visits East London.

Next, West Ham faces tough away matches against Everton and Arsenal, as well as encounters with Brentford and Leeds.

Thus, the situation at the club remains tense, and Potter's chances of remaining in his position depend on the future results of the team. Many fans hope for positive changes, and a transformation in the coaching staff may be a decisive step towards improving results.
