20.6 Million Griwna: Employment Agency Supports Jobs for People with Disabilities.
Financial Aid for Inclusive Workplaces
According to Мінфін — Крипто/Фінанси: In the first half of 2026, the Ukrainian Employment Agency provided a total of 20.6 million Griwna in compensation payments to create working conditions for people with disabilities. 292 applications were approved. Of these, 25 payments went to individuals with a disability degree I and 267 to individuals with a disability degree II. Since the beginning of the large-scale war, more than 4,600 inclusive jobs have been created.
The Kyiv region leads the list of recipients with over 3 million Griwna, which corresponds to 19 payments from the local employment office, or 20.6 percent of all cases. Notably, 92 of the approved aids went to individuals with disabilities who are also war veterans. This demonstrates how the measure specifically supports those who were injured in service to the country.
Maximum Amounts and Leaders Among the Regions
The maximum compensation amounts are around 129,700 Griwna for individuals with a disability degree I and approximately 86,500 Griwna for degree II. With 49 approvals, the Kyiv region takes the top spot, followed by the Cherkasy region with 36 payments. Other regions that received about 2.5 million Griwna each include:
- Zhytomyr Region
- Ivano-Frankivsk Region
- Cherkasy Region
The compensation program of the Employment Agency not only provides financial relief but also promotes social inclusion of people with disabilities. Especially in times of war, establishing barrier-free workplaces becomes increasingly important as it opens new perspectives for those affected and contributes to the equal treatment of all citizens. The payments are a central component in sustainably embedding inclusion.
