German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated at the congress of the Social Democratic Party that this political force can provide strong support to Ukraine without the risk of getting involved in the war. He called for peace negotiations that would avoid loss of life and destruction in Ukraine. Additionally, the chancellor mentioned the threats to democracy and condemned the situation in Austria and the political processes in the USA.
There is one political force in Germany that unconditionally stands by Ukraine while also ensuring that we are not drawn into this war.
Olaf Scholz also emphasized the principle of inviolability of borders and stated that no country can be considered 'someone else's backyard'. The chancellor acknowledged the failure of the 'Traffic Light' coalition and stated the need for new approaches in politics.
