Ukrainian Intelligence Unit 'Phantoms' Strikes Russian Logistics in Crimea: Radar System and Six Fuel Trucks Destroyed.
Operation by the 'Phantoms' Special Unit
According to UATV: Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) special unit 'Phantoms' dealt a severe blow to Russian military logistics in temporarily occupied Crimea. The operation destroyed a Kasta-2E2 radar station and six fuel tankers, significantly complicating enemy supply lines.
Additionally, the 'Phantoms' disabled two freight locomotives and three fuel tanker cars. This will further hinder Russian forces' capabilities in the region. Military equipment on the train was also destroyed.
Impact on Military Logistics
Dmytro Snyegiryov noted that 'Russian military logistics have changed dramatically.'
This underscores how Ukrainian operations are substantially affecting the occupiers' operational capacity in Crimea. Ukrainian special units continue missions aimed at weakening enemy military infrastructure.
These actions by the 'Phantoms' highlight an intensification of efforts to dismantle key components of Russian logistics. The loss of assets such as:
- radar systems
- fuel tankers
could lead to major challenges in supply and coordination for Russian troops, ultimately reducing their combat effectiveness. Such strikes may form part of a broader Ukrainian strategy to degrade military infrastructure on occupied territory.
