Exceptional Combat Performance by Special Operations Unit
According to Novyny.live: Operators from the 'A' Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) continue to achieve outstanding results on the battlefield. In May 2023 alone, they eliminated more than 8,000 Russian personnel and inflicted heavy damage on enemy equipment, securing the top position among all Ukrainian defense units for the third consecutive month. This sustained success highlights the critical role of elite forces in modern warfare.
Destroyed Enemy Equipment
The following assets were destroyed in May:
- 5,535 drones of various types and modifications
- 2,807 vehicles and military trucks
- 2,214 antennas and key communication nodes
- 1,781 fortifications and engineering structures
- 123 ammunition depots and military supply warehouses
- 101 artillery systems and self-propelled artillery units (SPGs)
- 62 heavy armored vehicles, including 15 tanks and 47 armored fighting vehicles
- 35 air defense systems
- 23 radar stations
- 22 military watercraft
- 11 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)

Additionally, the unit destroyed 62 heavy armored vehicles—including 15 tanks and 47 armored fighting vehicles—along with 35 air defense systems, 23 radar stations, 22 military watercraft, and 11 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
These achievements underscore significant progress in combat operations and demonstrate the readiness of Ukrainian special forces to meet the challenges posed by the war.
