Kyiv Region Power Outage Schedules
According to Novyny.live: On June 30, the Kyiv region will introduce new electricity shutdown schedules due to an extreme heatwave. The restrictions will affect three subgroups, each assigned different timeframes for power interruptions.
The outage schedules for June 30 in the Kyiv region include the following time slots:
- Subgroup 1.2 — from 18:00 to 20:00
- Subgroup 2.1 — from 17:00 to 20:30
- Subgroup 3.1 — from 20:00 to 22:00
Additionally, from 17:00 to 22:00, power capacity restrictions will apply to industrial and business consumers.
Kyiv City Situation
On June 29, Kyiv experienced severe weather, including heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong wind gusts. As a result, trees fell, insulation on a multi-story building was damaged, and power supply issues were reported. Due to the heat, entry points to the capital also imposed restrictions on trucks weighing over 24 tons.
The introduction of power outage schedules in the Kyiv region reflects the growing strain on the electrical grid during record-breaking temperatures, which could threaten energy infrastructure. Extreme weather events, such as intense downpours and storms, may further complicate the situation by causing additional power disruptions. These measures are essential to maintain grid stability and prevent overloads amid high temperatures and weather challenges.
