The USA has changed the visa application rules for Ukrainians: what is now required.
New visa application rules for Ukrainians from the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs
According to inkorr.com: From now on, Ukrainians can only submit visa applications in the country of their citizenship or permanent residence. This will complicate the process of obtaining non-immigrant visas to the USA, as Ukrainians now have to undergo interviews at embassies in Poland.
Due to the suspension of consular services in Ukraine, applicants are advised to contact the embassies in Warsaw or Krakow. For those in countries without U.S. consular facilities, documents must be submitted to designated embassies or consulates in third countries.
Representatives of the American department emphasized that the new measures apply to countries where the USA temporarily does not provide consular services. 'In such cases, foreigners must submit applications to the embassies or consulates we designate in third countries,' the Bureau of Consular Affairs stated.
Expectations and new requirements for Ukrainians
It is important for Ukrainians to have confirmation of their status in Poland, as it is there that they will submit their visa applications. The new rules apply to all types of non-immigrant visas and may include exceptions only for certain categories.
Moreover, recently Ukrainian refugees have been deported from the USA, indicating increased control over migration processes in the country.
Changes in visa application rules may complicate the lives of many Ukrainians planning trips to the USA. This also emphasizes the importance of proper document preparation and orientation in the new requirements. Observing these changes, it is worth considering possible adaptations, as the situation may change depending on the development of international relations.
