It became known how the bank deposits of Ukrainians have increased over the year.
The total amount of individual deposits in banks of Ukraine reached UAH 1,392.2 billion
The Deposit Guarantee Fund informed that as of January 1, 2025, the total amount of individual deposits (including individual entrepreneurs) in banks of Ukraine amounted to UAH 1,392.2 billion.
During 2024, citizens' deposits increased by UAH 157.4 billion, of which UAH 110.6 billion is real growth, excluding the revaluation of the hryvnia equivalent of foreign currency deposits.
In total, as of January 1, 2025, from the total amount of individual deposits:
- in the national currency is UAH 899.5 billion (increased by UAH 103.1 billion in 2024);
- in foreign currency - UAH 492.7 billion (increased by UAH 54.3 billion in 2024).
The share of individual entrepreneurs among depositors is 3.2%, and their total deposit amount is UAH 168.9 billion. This is UAH 19.0 billion more than last year. It is worth noting that the deposits of individual entrepreneurs are covered by the guarantees of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
