Where will the meeting between the presidents of Ukraine, the USA, and Russia take place? According to media reports, possibly in Europe. The news was shared by Sky News on Monday, August 18.
Trilateral meeting - where will it take place
According to Sky News, European diplomats are preparing for a potential trilateral meeting between Trump, Zelensky, and Putin. If everything goes as planned, the meeting will take place in Europe, specifically in a city that has yet to be chosen.
During a video meeting last weekend, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni suggested Rome as a possible venue for the talks, while French President Macron advocated for Geneva.
According to media reports, Zelensky and Trump prefer Rome, but Putin is leaning more towards Geneva. Several countries, including Italy and Switzerland, have expressed their willingness to host the talks, and the EU is considering other options.
It is worth noting that Zelensky has already met with US representative Keith Kellogg in Washington in preparation for the upcoming meeting.
Will negotiations be better in Rome, Geneva, or somewhere else? In fact, where will all this take place? Currently, the location of the meeting between the leaders of Ukraine, the USA, and Russia remains an open question. Everything will depend on the outcomes of the preliminary meetings in Washington and the choice of venue by Putin, Zelensky, and Trump.Read also
