Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that Russia continues to be the main threat to NATO in Europe and beyond. Therefore, it is important for the Alliance to provide support to Ukraine. He also noted that Finland will continue to support Ukraine on its path to NATO membership.
The President of Finland plans to participate in a meeting of the Ukraine defense group, where issues of further support for Kyiv will be discussed. He also urged NATO members to be prepared for hybrid attacks on their territories.
"Russia continues to be the most direct and significant threat to the Alliance and Finland across Europe and beyond. I also want to emphasize that Russia is now conducting two types of warfare. One is the kinetic war in Ukraine, where there is no limit to the violation of international law and the killing of innocent people. The other war that Russia is waging is a hybrid war. We must prepare for increased activity in cyberspace, the spread of false information and misinformation, informational wars, and potential sabotage."
