The state does not consider a number of cash receipts when citizens apply for housing subsidies, including a one-time cash assistance for Independence Day, which some citizens will receive in 2025. This was stated by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
The Pension Fund explained that this assistance is one-time and is paid only within one calendar year, so it is not included in the calculation of the average monthly income of the family for receiving a subsidy for utility payments.
Which incomes are considered when calculating housing subsidies
- wages;
- monetary support for servicemen;
- pensions;
- scholarships, except for social ones provided to orphans, children deprived of parental care, and persons from their number;
- social payments, including benefits for paying housing and utility services, purchasing solid fuel and liquefied gas;
- unemployment benefits and other insurance payments;
- money transfers received from abroad; dividends from securities;
- other income, as well as funds received by a person from land rental, sale of property, etc.
The amount of one-time assistance for Independence Day ranges from 450 to 3100 hryvnias. Most citizens will receive the payment automatically, but some need to submit an application to the PFU.
Ukrainians also have access to financial assistance from the Estonian Refugee Council of up to five thousand dollars. There is information about the conditions for receiving this assistance.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminds that when receiving a housing subsidy, various sources of citizens' income are considered, except for one-time payments such as assistance for Independence Day. Therefore, it is important to comply with all requirements and rules when applying for a subsidy in order to be able to benefit from assistance in paying for utility services.Read also
