Russia Likely to Strike Gas Stations, Sumy Officials Urge Residents to Stay Away.
Appeal for Caution
According to Novyny.live: Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, has urged locals to temporarily avoid gas stations due to an imminent threat of Russian attacks. He stated that the enemy intends to strike fuel stations in Sumy region and several other areas in the near future.
Russian military forces may shell gas stations, raising serious concerns among local authorities and the population. On July 4-5, Russian troops launched 28 strikes against 21 settlements in Sumy region. Additionally, on July 5, a missile hit a gas station in the city of Izium, Kharkiv region, indicating that the threat extends beyond Sumy to other parts of Ukraine.
Frontline Situation
Furthermore, on July 3, one person was killed and five were injured in a Russian shelling attack in the Kryvyi Rih district. In response to these events, the popular WOG gas station chain temporarily shut down its locations to protect customers and employees.
Authorities recommend avoiding gas stations unless absolutely necessary to reduce risks to life and health. The situation remains tense, and Sumy residents must exercise caution when traveling, especially in areas prone to shelling.
These incidents highlight the critical importance of public safety amid armed conflict and the threat of strikes. The local government's call to steer clear of gas stations reflects both concern over potential attacks and the need for vigilance among the region's inhabitants.
Given the unstable frontline situation, it is essential for citizens to stay updated on the latest news and follow official safety recommendations to protect themselves.
