Supermarkets updated prices on cereals: how the cost of buckwheat, rice, and pasta has changed.
Supermarkets increased prices on cereals in Ukraine
According to the Minfin portal, prices for cereals in Ukrainian supermarkets rose at the end of January. Cereals are basic products that affect consumers' budgets, and any price increase negatively impacts their finances. Let's look at how prices for buckwheat, rice, and pasta have changed.
Buckwheat
The average price for buckwheat remained unchanged compared to last month and amounts to 33.02 UAH/kg. However, in MegaMarket it can be purchased for the highest price - 40.00 UAH/kg.
Rice
The price for long rice remained the same - 58.20 UAH/kg. However, the price for steamed rice increased from 66.88 UAH/kg to 67.17 UAH/kg. Round rice has only risen by a couple of kopecks - 69.67 UAH/kg.
Pasta
The average price for pasta has decreased from 33.10 UAH/kg to 32.76 UAH/kg. The price for pasta depends on the store and ranges from 27.90 UAH/kg at Metro to 39.10 UAH/kg at Auchan.
Let us remind that in Ukraine there has also been a price increase for one of the vegetables from the borscht set.
