Claudia, celebrating her 55th birthday, was also at the game when Brentford defeated Aston Villa in August. Her interest in the team grew after her husband, director Matthew Vaughn, invested in the club last summer.

For the match, she wore a Brentford jersey, while Taron, 35, known from the 'Kingsman' films with Vaughn, prefers Arsenal, even though he is not a fan of Brentford.

Match events and their comments

Schiffer undoubtedly enjoyed the first half of the match.

Keith Andrew's team opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Igor Thiago bypassed with long passes from Jordan Henderson.

In the 20th minute, Thiago doubled the lead by scoring after a rebound from goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

However, 'United' managed to score before half-time, as Benjamin Šeško converted his third attempt, despite suggestions of a foul.

My journey with Brentford began 25 years ago when an actor told me it would be a great club to invest in, and since then I have followed their progress with well-deserved respect, says Vaughn.
