According to ТСН: The "Mimosa" salad is a favorite dish for festive gatherings, and every hostess has her special recipe. However, a simple ingredient can add spiciness and richness to the dish's flavor.
Mimosa salad with mackerel
Ingredients:
smoked mackerel fillet — 300 g
boiled potatoes — 300 g
boiled carrots — 300 g
four eggs
one onion
hard cheese — 200 g
mayonnaise, vinegar, salt
Preparation method
Boil the potatoes and carrots, then cool, peel, and grate them on a coarse grater into different plates. Finely chop the onion, pour vinegar over it, mix, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Boil the eggs hard, separate the whites and yolks, and grate them on a fine grater into separate plates. Finely chop the mackerel fillet and remove any bones if present.
On a plate, place a culinary ring. Lay a layer of potatoes and cover it with mayonnaise. Top it with the marinated onion.
Layer the other ingredients, each covered with mayonnaise: on the potatoes — mackerel, then egg whites, carrots, and cheese. Sprinkle the top with yolks and garnish with dill if desired.
Place the salad in the refrigerator for two hours, after which remove the culinary ring and serve.
The "Mimosa" salad with mackerel is a wonderful combination of flavors and textures that will beautify any festive table. It is perfect for those who appreciate traditional dishes but are ready to add new accents to them. Try it yourself, and maybe this recipe will become your signature dish for the holidays!
