Monaco Players Flew in Their Underwear Due to Airplane Air Conditioning Failure.
Inconveniences on Board the Plane 'Monaco'
According to The Sun: The players of the football club 'Monaco' were forced to leave the plane in their underwear due to an air conditioning failure, which caused their flight to Belgium for the Champions League match to be canceled.
The team was scheduled to play against 'Bruges' on Thursday as part of the first round of the Champions League.
The players of 'Monaco' suffered from hot temperatures due to the air conditioning malfunction during the flight to Bruges
The air conditioning failure caused panic, and the players had to remove their clothes as the temperature in the cabin reached critical levels.
The footballers tried to cool off by wiping the sweat and fanning themselves. Danish player Jordan Teze captured these unusual scenes on his phone. The video he posted on his Snapchat shows how the team removed their clothes to ease the situation somehow.
Before leaving the plane, the players stood on the runway in a semi-naked state.
Safety First
The head coach of 'Monaco', Adi Hütter, reported that the team decided to stay home and fly to Bruges the next day due to safety concerns.
Hütter is confident that despite the delay, his team will still be able to start the championship successfully.
“Unfortunately, we couldn't leave today. I'm not sure if this will affect us since we are professionals and quickly adjusted our schedule,” said Hütter.
“Due to technical reasons, travel was impossible, as the safety of everyone could not be guaranteed. Thus, we decided, in agreement with (CEO) Thiago Scuro, to postpone our trip.”The team 'Monaco' found itself in quite an unusual situation, which shocked the players and fans. Despite the inconveniences, the situation certainly added some popularity to the club, as the news of this event is being widely discussed in the media. Their next match will be a true test of endurance, as now they not only need to adapt to new conditions but also continue the fight for victory in the Champions League.
