Career. From 1997 to 2000, he was the commander of an anti-aircraft missile battery of a missile artillery unit of the frigate 'Sevastopol'.

From 2000-2006 he served in positions from senior assistant to the commander of the corvette 'Luzk' to the commander of the minesweeper 'Chernihiv'.

He was the staff officer at the ship command center 'Slavutych', which successfully completed tasks within the framework of the activation of the Black Sea group for military maritime cooperation BLACKSEAFOR.

From 2006 to 2007, he was the deputy commander of the Southern Naval Base.

In 2007-2008, he was the chief of staff - first deputy commander of the 1st brigade of surface ships of the operational center of naval operations of the Naval Forces of the ASA, and from 2008 to 2012 he led this association.

From July 2012 to 2015, he served as the first deputy chief of staff of the Naval Forces of the ASA command.

From 2013 to 2014, he temporarily fulfilled the duties of the head of the Nakhimov Naval Academy.

From January 2015 to 2019 - deputy commander of the Naval Forces of the ASA for combat training - head of the combat training department of the Naval Forces of the ASA command.

From April 2020 to June 2020 - deputy commander of the Naval Forces of the ASA.

Participant in the anti-terrorist operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Repeatedly led the Ukrainian-American exercises 'Sea Breeze'.

On June 11, 2020, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Alexei Neizhpapa as the commander of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On April 16, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Alexei Neizhpapa the rank of Vice Admiral. Neizhpapa received the new title after the Russian missile cruiser 'Moskva' was sunk in the Black Sea - the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The ship sank after being hit by two Neptune missiles.
