The Naval Forces reported how Ukraine's strikes affected the actions of the Russian Federation in Crimea.
The Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, reported that successful strikes on the enemy's military facilities, including occupied Crimea, created problems for the Russians in using the naval base in Sevastopol.
Over the past year, military missile units and unmanned maritime systems of the Navy have successfully struck around 50 enemy military facilities, including in Crimea.
These strikes targeted military airfields, ammunition and fuel storage depots, storage and production sites for drones, air defense systems, logistics nodes, and enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex.
Oleksiy Neizhpapa noted that such actions by the Defense Forces complicated the enemy's use of Sevastopol. The Russian Black Sea Fleet was forced to withdraw most of its ships, including all 'Kalibr' missile carriers, to Novorossiysk. The presence of Ukrainian defenders in the Sea of Azov also forced Russian ships to change their base to the Krasnodar Territory.
Experts from the Institute for the Study of War reacted to these events, noting that Russia could lose control over occupied Crimea if Ukraine intensifies its offensive operations in the Black Sea.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian naval drone Magura V5 destroyed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters in December and damaged another. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine does not have enough forces to reclaim Crimea and Donbas and expressed his support for diplomatic negotiations with Russia.
