The flagship of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, the corvette "Ivan Mazepa", demonstrated high combat readiness during state trials. This was reported by the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neyizhpapa.

The corvette "Ivan Mazepa" is successfully passing state trials. During artillery firing, it accurately hit air, sea, and land targets, noted the Navy commander.

According to him, the ship is equipped with modern weapon systems that significantly enhance its combat capabilities. All previous technical remarks have been taken into account, and modernization focuses on ensuring maximum efficiency and protection during combat. In particular, air defense measures have been strengthened.

"Ivan Mazepa" is not only about the latest technologies but also a symbol of the indomitable Ukrainian fleet. Confidence in our strength is growing, and we are ready for new challenges of war. Ukraine is an invincible naval state capable of repelling any threats!, emphasized Neyizhpapa.

"Hetman Ivan Mazepa" is the future flagship of the Ukrainian Navy. It is set to replace the frigate "Hetman Sahaidachny", which had to be scuttled at the beginning of the full-scale invasion to prevent its capture by Russian forces.

Earlier, it was reported that the future flagship of the Ukrainian fleet had passed its first sea trials.

Notably, the Ukrainian corvette is equipped with a 76-millimeter ship artillery system Super Rapid. Additionally, the naval VL MICA surface-to-air missile system has been installed on it.

Recall that on August 1 in Istanbul, the second Ada-class corvette being built for Ukraine, "Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky", was launched at the STM shipyard.
