Ukraine's 4.32 UAH Electricity Tariff: Duration and Aid Eligibility Explained.
Electricity Pricing in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: The electricity tariff for Ukrainian households is set at 4.32 UAH per kWh and will remain fixed until the end of April 2026. This price stability is a key part of the government's social policy during a challenging period. Starting October 1, 2025, residents of areas affected by active hostilities will receive additional, automatically calculated financial aid for their electricity bills, provided alongside existing subsidies and social benefits.
Assistance Amount and Conditions
The aid provides for 100 kWh per person, capped at a maximum of 300 kWh per household. This translates to 432 UAH per person, with a potential maximum of 1,296 UAH for a family. This financial support will continue provided that:
- the family does not leave the hazardous area;
- they do not lose their right to subsidies or benefits;
- the area is not designated as conditionally safe or temporarily occupied.
Furthermore, from January 1, 2026, the household electricity tariff will stay at 4.32 UAH per kWh. A decision on whether to extend or revise this rate will be made after April 30, 2026. A discounted nighttime rate, set at half the standard price, is also in effect from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
"The issues of electricity tariffs and financial support for residents of combat zones remain a central focus amid the country's current situation." - Author unknown
This policy addresses not only financial concerns but also social stability in Ukraine, particularly in conflict-affected regions. The automatic aid mechanism for those in dangerous areas is designed to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable families. Future decisions regarding tariff adjustments from 2026 onward will be crucial for maintaining affordable electricity access for the population.
