Electricity Pricing for February 2026

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian households will continue to pay for electricity under new government-approved rates in February 2026. The standard tariff for residential consumers during this period will be 4.32 UAH per kilowatt-hour. This rate is set to remain fixed until April 30, 2026.

Varied Rates for Different Consumers

The cost of electricity for households in February 2026 includes different rates for consumers with time-of-use meters:

  • For consumers with two-zone meters:
    • From 07:00 to 23:00 – 4.32 UAH per kWh;
    • From 23:00 to 07:00 – 2.16 UAH per kWh.
  • For consumers with three-zone meters:
    • Peak hours (08:00–11:00 & 20:00–22:00) – 6.48 UAH per kWh;
    • Off-peak hours (07:00–08:00, 11:00–20:00, 22:00–23:00) – 4.32 UAH per kWh;
    • Night hours (23:00–07:00) – 1.73 UAH per kWh.

A preferential tariff is established for households using electric heating, set at 2.64 UAH per kWh for consumption up to 2000 kWh per month. These new electricity tariffs reflect the government's effort to manage energy costs for Ukrainians under different consumption patterns. The Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH) is the local currency, and these rates are part of a broader strategy to balance affordability with the cost of energy supply.

The introduction of new electricity tariffs in Ukraine is part of the government's overall policy for energy stability and consumer support. Specifically, varied rates for consumers with time-of-use meters may encourage more rational electricity use, which can help reduce strain on the power grid. Preferential tariffs for households with electric heating also help lower costs for more vulnerable population groups, which is particularly relevant in conditions of economic uncertainty.
