Odesa's Waste Collection Fees for March 2023

According to Novyny.live: Residents of Odesa will see no increase in their waste removal fees for March 2023, despite rising fuel costs. This price freeze applies to all city residents, whether they live in apartment buildings or private homes, and fees will continue to be based on their chosen service provider. This stability comes as many Ukrainian cities face economic pressures due to the ongoing war.

Residential Fee Structure

For residents of multi-story apartment buildings, the monthly per-person rates charged by different operators across Odesa's districts are as follows:

  • Company 'Eko-Renessans' – 35.49 UAH per person.
  • Company 'Clear-City' – 33.99 UAH per person.
  • Company 'TV-Serrus' – 34.80 UAH per person.
  • The municipal enterprise 'Odeskomuntrans' – 34.13 UAH per person.

For the private housing sector, the established per-person rates are:

  • 'Eko-Renessans' – 61.26 UAH.
  • 'Clear-City' – 58.68 UAH.
  • 'TV-Serrus' – 60.07 UAH.
  • 'Odeskomuntrans' – 58.89 UAH.

A family of three living in an apartment building will therefore pay approximately 100 to 105 UAH per month. This fee covers the full cycle of waste management: collection, transportation, and disposal. The tariff is calculated to account for expenses related to fuel, vehicle maintenance, worker salaries, and landfill operations.

In addition to waste collection, Odesa residents will also see no change in their water tariffs for March 2023, while household consumers will pay a fixed rate of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter of gas. Consequently, amid the current economic climate, Odesa's inhabitants continue to receive waste disposal services at the previously established rates.

The decision to maintain stable waste collection fees in Odesa highlights a commitment to reliable municipal services, even as fuel prices climb. This consistency is a significant relief for residents facing financial strain, allowing them to better budget for essential costs. The stable pricing for water and gas further underscores a broader trend of controlling utility costs during a period of inflation and economic uncertainty.
