Ukrenergo's tariffs will double: employee salaries will decrease at the same time.
Increase in electricity tariffs and decrease in salaries at 'Ukrenergo'
According to inkorr.com: Energy expert Oleg Popenko notes that tariffs for electricity transmission, set by the company 'Ukrenergo', are planned to be increased twice from 2022 to 2025. At the same time, the salaries of ordinary employees of the company turned out to be lower than the average in the industrial sector, according to data from the State Audit Office of Ukraine.
Popenko emphasizes that Ukrainians finance significant payments to the management of 'Ukrenergo' through tariff increases. He also pointed out that the debt of the population for communal services has already exceeded 106 billion hryvnias, and citizens face difficulties in payment due to rising prices.
'All the money that 'Ukrenergo' has is paid by us from our pockets,' the expert emphasized.
According to official data, the salaries of dispatchers, foremen, and electricians of 'Ukrenergo' turned out to be lower than the average in the industry, while the management's rewards increased from 22 million hryvnias to one billion hryvnias.
'This cost of tariffs accounts for all these billions of hryvnias that were paid to experts and management,' explained Popenko.
The expert also noted the deterioration of drinking water quality in Ukraine, stating that the government lowered quality standards due to financial difficulties. He warned of a possible increase in heating prices for the population due to conflicts of interest in tariff control.
In conclusion: Popenko draws attention to the intention to increase electricity tariffs while simultaneously lowering the salaries of 'Ukrenergo' employees. This may lead to further increases in the population's debt and threaten the quality of communal services in the country. In the context of economic difficulties, the situation may require urgent resolution to avoid social tension and improve the living standards of citizens.
