Terekhov’s Visit to Lviv

According to Novyny.live: On March 26, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov met with displaced residents of his city currently staying in Lviv, during the Nordic-Ukrainian Municipal Partnership Forum. This event served as a key platform bringing together frontline cities, communities, and Ukrainian mayors with international partners, particularly from Sweden and Norway.

During his working trip to the forum, Terekhov emphasized that the primary goal now is to maintain connections between communities.

“This is a very important event because it united frontline cities, communities, and Ukrainian city mayors with our international partners from Sweden and Norway,” he stressed.
The mayor highlighted the need to sustain these ties so that, once the war ends and circumstances allow, people can return to their hometowns.

Community Meetings

Additionally, on March 16, Ihor Terekhov met with representatives of the Muslim community, reflecting his active engagement in social life and support for diverse population groups. Such meetings strengthen community bonds and help address challenges faced by Kharkiv residents who have temporarily left their homes.

Thus, the mayor’s visit to Lviv not only underscores the importance of international cooperation but also fosters internal connections among Ukrainians enduring difficult conditions.

This visit occurs against the backdrop of Ukraine’s ongoing war, which has forced many to flee their homes. Meetings with various community groups and international partners highlight the efforts of Ukrainian cities to maintain social cohesion and collaboration during the crisis. These initiatives could significantly shape regional recovery and development after the conflict ends.
