Among the novelties is Belgian white chocolate.

The new flavors include: Belgian milk chocolate, triple chocolate cookie, protein cookie with Belgian chocolate, large oatmeal cookie, and chocolate-covered raisins.

A pack of four is available in supermarkets. Tesco Clubcard members can purchase the new items for £2.

The plastic packaging can be returned to soft plastic collection points in Tesco stores, and cardboard bases can be recycled at home.

“These new Tesco Finest Cookies look so delicious, and they are so hard to resist,” shared one user in the Facebook group Baby Deals UK.

However, some commentators believe that the new flavors are not different from the previous ones. One noted, “These are not new flavors, they have just been repackaged.” Another expressed the opinion that it’s better to bake at home: “No, for £2 it is better to make them yourself, they will be tastier and cheaper.”

“They are delicious, better than the old version,” wrote one customer.

The discussion also sparked comparisons with M&S cookies, which have become very popular. “Packed like M&S, let’s see if they are not worse,” added one user.

The launch by Tesco comes almost a year after M&S introduced its new line of cookies, which received positive reviews.

“These cookies with ginger and white chocolate really deserve it. Very dangerous,” shared one fan.

Despite the positive feedback about the taste of the new items, customers express dissatisfaction over the plastic packaging. One commentator on Facebook is concerned: “Why are cookies now packaged in plastic bags instead of paper? This is a step backwards.”

Another user added: “I hope the packaging hasn’t changed to cellophane; if so, I won’t buy them.”

Thus, both sides are actively discussing the new cookies and their packaging, raising current issues of ecology and product quality.
