On social media, users are sharing their impressions of the new product.
One of them, who found the product, shared a photo of one of the boxes and noted:
“Tesco are now selling Greggs frozen sausage rolls £3 a box.”
Such an enthusiastic buyer wrote:
“Fill ye freezer.”
Another asked:
“How can they sell them cheaper than Greggs do?”
Another user was generous with compliments:
“Love these.”
And yet another noted:
“That’s good to know. Iceland have been doing for years but handy for my online Tesco shop.”
In June, it was announced that the iconic pastry chain would launch frozen products at Tesco this year.
The new assortment includes five products that are already available in over 800 Tesco stores across the country.
Assortment of frozen products
The frozen “Bake at Home” line from Greggs includes a range of favorite products.
Although the range is already available at Iceland, it is now expanding across the country through Tesco.
Sausages were first launched in 2011, when they were sold frozen in 10 stores in Liverpool.
Since then the range at Iceland has expanded to 15 popular products.
These include Greggs sausages, cheese and onion pastry, bean and cheese sausages, steak bakes, chicken bakes, bacon and cheese wraps, vegetable pastries, and vegan sausages.
Earlier this year, The Sun tested all the own-brand sausages from major supermarkets to determine which ones are the best value for money – and if they surpass Greggs.
