Leigh prepares for the districts' battle with Wigan: a key match for reaching the final.
Tesi Niu is always a Lion
According to The Sun: Tesi Niu does not hide in a wolf's skin, even when on enemy territory.
The Leigh player always feels like a Lion – and he won't hide that in the Super League semi-final on Friday in Wigan.
Tesi Niu can make his neighbors unhappy by helping Leigh win the semi-final in Wigan SWPIX.COMNeighbors and rivalry
Niu lives in the Hindley Green area and plays for a team that is a rival in the District Battle.
Now he can upset many neighbors on Friday by helping his team win at Old Trafford for the first time.
Hopefully, without extra nerves, as in the first match of the season against Wigan, which ended 1-0 in favor of Leigh!
“I just live my ordinary life,” insists Tesi Niu, 24. “To be honest, I don't socialize much with my neighbors. I just keep to myself with my kids and family.”
“But that 1-0 match, my first one, was foundational for our season. Now we just need to play our game – but another win with a score of 1-0 would not be unwelcome.”
“Back then our defense worked excellently, and it will again on Friday, so we have to be ready for anything.”
The way to Old Trafford
“Even if I don't pay attention to our matches, I've learned a bit about the rivalry between Wigan and Leigh.”
“And reaching Old Trafford is the main goal. Always.”
Leigh earned their place in the final after defeating Wakefield 26-10 – now they need to travel nine miles to Wigan to battle the Warriors.
Niu knows what Adrian Lam's team needs to do to get to the Grand Final, just as they did over all 28 matches of the season.
“It has been a great journey, but it is not over yet. This week will be crucial.”
“In the playoffs, you don't want to do anything that you haven't done all season, so essentially, this is our game plan that has brought us to this point.”

Coach's emotions
While Niu and his teammates work on the field, their coach is no longer just a father, but a grandfather.
With little Lulea nearby, Lam realizes that he made the right decision coaching Leigh, where his son Lachlan is a star.
“After I saw her, I was very emotional, and even shed a few tears because I couldn't believe it,” said the coach.
“But this is destiny, and I know it's part of the process. She is just magical, and I have fallen in love with her.”
“So, I am looking forward to watching her grow, and it is incredible that my son is here in the UK playing on my team and can enjoy these moments.”
The Leigh team is eagerly preparing for the important match against Wigan, as it is not just a chance for victory but also an opportunity to cement their status in the Super League. Having players who understand the significance of these moments could be the key to the team's success in the playoffs. The rivalry between the teams adds even more tension to this encounter, as both sides will fight for glory and the chance to become champions.
