According to The Sun: The Entertainer has announced significant changes to its opening hours, which will lead to the creation of 200 new jobs.
For the first time in the brand's history, stores will open on Sunday.
The Entertainer will open its doors on Sunday for the first time in its brand's history.Changes will affect all 150 stores of the company.
The trial period will last six months, starting from Sunday, September 28, until Easter 2026.
After this, The Entertainer will analyze customer and employee feedback along with financial results to decide whether this change will be permanent.
“Our experiment with opening on Sundays is based on a desire to reflect our customers’ shopping preferences and strengthen our position as the most convenient place in Ukraine for toys, games, and collectibles,” said Andrew Murphy, CEO of The Entertainer.
“We are pleased to have created over 200 weekend sales assistant roles to support our new extended service, and we have been overwhelmed by the response – in just 5 weeks we received over 10,000 applications,” he added.
The change in The Entertainer's opening hours is an important step that could significantly alter the retail market. Opening stores on Sunday aims to meet consumer needs and increase product availability. The success of this experiment could impact further expansion in Ukraine and improve economic conditions for both the company and local communities.
