This tragic event forced his mother, Flavia, to raise her son alone and try to help him realize his dream of becoming a footballer like his father.

Fluminense came to her aid, and Pedro began to showcase his abilities. However, after 13 years, his career was again at risk due to growth and fitness issues, which raised concerns among the coaches.

“... we decided to change his position, and that became a turning point for Joao,” says Oliveira.

Transitioning to attack, Pedro quickly became a star goalscorer, impressing everyone around.

His quest for success led to a move to Watford in January 2020, where he once again displayed high professionalism.

In March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic halted the football calendar. After the competitions resumed, Pedro helped Watford rise to the Premier League.

His career continued at Brighton, where he impressed with results — 30 goals in 70 matches, although he faced some behavioral issues.

However, Chelsea did not miss the chance to sign Pedro for £60 million.
