However, the former Borussia Dortmund mentor noted that he felt exhausted, so he decided to take a break from coaching.
A New Role at Red Bull
Now Klopp occupies another role at Red Bull clubs.
The former Liverpool coach found himself on the other side of the process, as he is now hiring and firing coaches himself.
The first person he had to fire was Rose, a 49-year-old specialist who played for the team when Klopp was coaching Mainz.
The former Dortmund coach said that this part of his new responsibilities is 'unpleasant,' but sadly, it is what needs to be done, as there is 'no gray area' in football.
Klopp said in a comment for The Athletic: 'This is not good. It will never be my passion. But it is something that needs to be done.'
Contracts and Trust
'I want to hire coaches for the right reasons. And if the collaboration ends, it should also be for the right reasons, not under pressure from the media.'
'I strive to establish this [stability]; more trust, going through tough times.'
'If you are faithful to your conviction, then you are faithful. The world is like: 'Oh God, you are wonderful!' Then: 'Oh no! You are terrible.'
'There is no more gray area. And often life is gray.'
Jurgen Klopp's words reflect the realities of modern football, where decisions to dismiss coaches are often based on quick results. His experience at Liverpool has become the basis for a new strategy in managing Red Bull teams, where he will have to balance the demands for results and human relationships. Klopp seeks to create an atmosphere of trust and stability, which, in his opinion, is vital for the successful operation of the team.
