According to The Sun: Britons determined their favorite European cities for vacation, and Krakow took first place. Flights to it can cost as little as £30 round trip.

A survey conducted by Which? showed that respondents rated cities based on several criteria: food and drink quality, hotel comfort, cultural attractions, shopping opportunities, ease of transportation, lack of crowds, as well as value for money.

Krakow received first place with an overall score of 92%. This is already the fifth consecutive year that the city has held this position.

In 1978, Krakow was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and became the only city to receive five stars for value for money.

The average cost of accommodation in the city is only £86, and a glass of beer at the Main Square can be purchased for about 15 zl (£3.05). In supermarkets, beer costs only 3 zl (61 pence). Flights from London cost approximately £30 in October.

Additionally, the city earned four stars for cultural attractions.

In the Old Town, travelers can enjoy beautiful architecture with a rich history, where numerous cafes and restaurants are located. In the Main Market, there are many museums and landmarks, including St. Mary's Basilica with its Gothic spires.

It is also worth visiting Krakow's new museum — the Underground Market, which contains many archaeological finds beneath the square.

And let’s not forget Auschwitz — the largest Nazi concentration camp. Travel editor Rob Croxon spoke about 'Bar Singer', where the table is decorated with vintage sewing machines, and the evenings here are always lively.
