Introducing the 'Wolf Track' Hiking Route

According to Tourism.d.ua — Туризм: Europe now boasts a brand-new long-distance hiking trail known as the 'Wolf Track,' stretching an impressive 3,494 kilometers. Spanning six countries, this route offers a unique opportunity for travelers eager to explore the continent's diverse landscapes and rich cultures.

With a total elevation gain exceeding 78,400 meters, the trail presents a serious physical challenge. Depending on pace and conditions, completing the Wolf Track typically takes between four and six months. The best time to tackle the journey is from April to September, when weather conditions are most favorable for hikers.

Testing and Growing Popularity

The route was pre-tested by Canadian hiker Lauren Roerick in April 2026, confirming its readiness and appeal for adventurers. The Wolf Track was created by the outdoor brand Jack Wolfskin, which connected over 3,500 kilometers of existing historic paths into one continuous route. This project opens up fresh opportunities for active recreation and tourism across Europe, attracting both seasoned trekkers and newcomers alike.

The launch of the Wolf Track could mark a significant step forward for Europe's tourism infrastructure. By weaving through varied terrains and cultural regions, it has the potential to draw interest from local residents and international visitors. The trail also promises economic benefits for the regions it passes through, driven by increased tourist traffic and the growth of related services. Since the route has already been field-tested, strong usage is expected in the years ahead.
