“You need to have a name that makes opponents a little afraid of you,” Taylor noted.
“People fear you because of your consistency, which looks scary to others.”
Taylor believes that while Littler does not care about the opinions of others, it is important for him to have good people around, including his parents.
“He is very balanced and not money-oriented. I think that is very important at his age,” he added.
Taylor is still unsure whether Littler will be able to match or surpass his achievements — 16 world championship titles.
“It depends on his work ethic, as it gets tougher with the years,” he commented.
Littler plans to win £1 million, becoming the first player since 2016 to defend the world champion title.
The expert noted that Littler has already won in 2023 at the World Matchplay and UK Open, which will allow him to grow to 17 PDC titles in less than two years of professional career.
However, there are still many major tournaments ahead, including the World Grand Prix, which will start on October 6 in Leicester.
