Roy Keane rightly criticizes Guardiola: If you complain about the schedule - my God.
Roy Keane's Reaction to Guardiola's Words
According to The Sun: Roy Keane questioned the notion that Manchester City dropped points against Arsenal due to fatigue.
City's team finished the match against Arsenal 1-1, following a late goal from Gabriel Martinelli on Sunday.
GettyThe star striker Erling Haaland scored the first goal for Manchester City at the beginning of the match, but Arsenal put pressure on the opponent and eventually equalized through Martinelli.
After the match, Guardiola noted that the team was suffering from the demanding schedule, as they had recently played against Napoli in the Champions League.
Guardiola said: “Kudos to the team, their perseverance. It is hard to score a goal when you are not effective in high pressing, not effective in build-up play.”
He also added: “Arsenal had the better moments, and we were incredibly tired.”
“Sometimes people don’t understand that the match against Napoli was very emotional, after that day of recovery, and then had to travel four to five hours to London.”
Sky Sports commentator Roy Keane did not support Guardiola's opinion and stated: “If you talk about tiredness and schedule, we are only in September and they played at home.”
“In the match against United, they were very comfortable, and in Naples, the opponent was left with ten men after 20 minutes.”
Keane emphasized that teams at this level like Manchester City should not look for excuses for a difficult schedule.
Manchester City's next match is scheduled against Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

This match was important for both teams as Manchester City and Arsenal are rivals for the top positions in the league. Consequently, City has the chance to prove its strength in the next match, while Arsenal will continue to fight for the lead in the table. Guardiola's and Keane's words underscore the significance of focus and endurance in professional football, especially at a high level of competition.
