Trump and Putin in Anchorage: social media found a time traveler in historical photos.
According to The Sun: Social media erupted after the publication of an image in which Donald Trump touches Vladimir Putin's chest with his finger. The photo reflects a similarity to a historical painting in which an unyielding Richard Nixon does the same in relation to Nikita Khrushchev. Both images show presidents demonstrating their power over political counterparts. Trump tried to showcase his admiration for his party mate Nixon by posting the photo on his Truth Social account.
Sharp-eyed viewers also noticed other similarities in the photographs, including the presence of a man standing between the leaders, seemingly acting as a translator. Following this, the meeting of the US and Russian presidents in Alaska had several more interesting and emotional moments, including a showy flight of military aircraft and important negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine.
