Trump to Make Interim Decision on TikTok's Operations in the USA.
U.S. President Donald Trump intends to sign an executive order to delay the ban on the social media network TikTok in the country. He made this statement after the app ceased operations in the United States. Previously, Trump was against TikTok, but now he wants to keep it operational until a solution is found. The President plans to issue an order to protect the national security of the country and free the companies that helped TikTok operate from liability.
The TikTok ban is part of legislation worth 95 billion dollars, which also includes aid to Ukraine and Israel. Many American users lost access to the app after it disappeared from the Apple and Google stores.
Chinese officials are considering transferring control of TikTok's American division to Elon Musk. President Trump also had a conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, during which they discussed the situation surrounding TikTok. Trump is considering continuing the app's operations for the next 90 days.
