Trump on Russia's economy: plunging to hell due to Putin's war.
According to inkorr.com: US President Donald Trump expressed discontent with Vladimir Putin's actions, believing that Russia's economy is rapidly heading towards collapse. During a press conference at the White House, he noted that Russian interference in conflicts leads to catastrophic consequences for the country and its international status.
'People are being killed for no reason. Their economy is going to hell. They are bombing everything,' Trump stated, emphasizing that the Russian army is showing weak results on the front. He added that Russian troops are capturing 'very little territory, if they are conquering at all.'
The president also pointed out that Moscow is losing control over previously occupied territories, which he believes harms Russia's reputation. He stressed that the war must end, noting that the strategy of conducting conflicts between the US and Russia is fundamentally different: 'If this were our war, we would have ended it in a week.'
Calls to Putin and Erdogan
Earlier, Trump urged Putin to stop interfering in conflicts and appealed to Erdogan, asking him to refrain from purchasing Russian oil. It is also worth noting the three narratives that Putin expressed in response to Trump's criticism.
Trump's statements may be an attempt to demonstrate Russia's destructive influence on the international situation and its economy, emphasizing the negative consequences of the war initiated by the Kremlin. He also highlighted the differences in military conflict strategies between the US and Russia, stressing a quicker resolution of the conflict had American forces been involved.
