Trump on the meeting between Zelensky and Putin: Hatred is boundless.
According to inkorr.com: U.S. President Donald Trump pointed out the difficulties associated with organizing a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia — Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.
Trump emphasized that he tried to facilitate the end of the conflict, but the end of the war turned out to be a more challenging task than he initially thought. 'The hatred between Zelensky and Putin is boundless. They hate each other so much that they cannot breathe,' the U.S. president noted.
'Negotiations will happen. However, I will likely have to intervene. Putin and Zelensky hate each other so much that they can hardly talk. They just cannot speak to each other,' Trump added.
Thus, Donald Trump outlined serious challenges in preparing for a meeting between the leaders of the two countries against the backdrop of their deep animosity, which may complicate the negotiation process.
This situation highlights how difficult it is to establish dialogue between states that have a history of conflicts. Despite the desire of certain world leaders to act as mediators, reality shows that mutual hatred can stand in the way of peace. The potential for negotiations still remains, but many obstacles will need to be overcome.
