Trump said when to expect progress on resolving the war in Ukraine.
Special envoy of the US president Steve Witkoff believes that soon America will be able to achieve progress in resolving the war between Russia and Ukraine. He stated this in an interview with CNN.
Witkoff shared the opinion that US President Donald Trump has 'weeks' in mind as a timeline and he agrees with this approach. He also hopes that the progress made will continue, especially considering the rapid advancements since Trump's inauguration. He noted that no one expected such quick progress.
The special envoy also mentioned that Trump and Putin may have a phone call next week. He reminded that this week he himself met with Putin in Russia, where they discussed the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
It should be noted that Starmer reminded Trump of the obligations of the US.
