He also hopes that the progress made will continue, especially considering the rapid advancements since Trump's inauguration. He noted that no one expected such quick progress.

The special envoy also mentioned that Trump and Putin may have a phone call next week. He reminded that this week he himself met with Putin in Russia, where they discussed the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
