Unique Design
Søstrene Grene opened its first store in 2016, beginning its expansion in northern England.
The company specializes in affordable home goods, including tables, chairs, candles, pots, and delicious European desserts.
Its stores are known for their labyrinthine corridors and traditionally Danish decorations.
Søstrene Grene is famous for its Scandinavian design approach.
The brand offers a wide range of home goods, kitchen items, gifts, stationery, and seasonal collections.
Each store features a maze-like layout, similar to the concept of the well-known Flying Tiger Copenhagen chain.
This format encourages slow browsing and discovering novelties, inspired by principles of simplicity and hygge.
IKEA stores also use a similar layout, allowing customers to explore all products on their way through the store.
Additionally, Søstrene Grene plans to open a distribution center in the Netherlands costing £36 million, covering 445,000 square meters.
The company's expansion is taking place amid the closure of many other retailers, indicating its success in a challenging economic environment.
