The Third Assault Brigade rescued their captured soldiers from the occupiers.
Fighters of the Third Separate Assault Brigade freed Ukrainian soldiers from captivity on the Kharkiv direction.
According to the spokesperson of the 3rd OSH Brigade, Oleksandr Borodin, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group unexpectedly captured the prisoners. He explained that these actions were taken with the aim to rescue and reclaim the captives.
Borodin noted that Russian forces actively use sabotage and reconnaissance groups, which mostly consist of highly experienced fighters.
Ukrainian soldiers decided to intervene and liberate their comrades before they were transferred to Russian positions, as it would have been almost impossible afterwards.
Borodin noted that during the assault, part of the sabotage and reconnaissance group was destroyed, and another part was incapacitated, which allowed the captives to escape. However, there were losses on our side as well. Nevertheless, according to Borodin, this action was necessary and important.
Overall, the situation on the Kharkiv front is stabilizing, and Ukrainian forces have pushed back the occupiers in the Kharkiv region.
Recall that the commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Mykola Volokhov, reported that Russian armed aggression forces are pulling towards the Kharkiv direction and preparing for an offensive.
