Three countries will build a railway bypassing Russia.
As of today, December 27, the construction of a railway line has started that will connect China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan without passing through Russia. The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, emphasized that this project has great strategic significance as it will create a new railway corridor that ensures access to the markets of Western Asia and the Middle East. Its route is planned to stretch from the Chinese city of Kashgar to the Uzbek Andijan through the Kyrgyz cities of Torugart, Makmal, and Jalal-Abad. In the future, there is also a plan to connect this railway with other Central Asian countries and transport goods to the Caspian Sea, Turkey, and the European Union. The implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening regional ties and expanding transport routes, which will enhance the region's competitiveness as a transit hub.
