Trump on the murder of a Ukrainian woman in the US: Democrats have blood on their hands.
According to The Sun: Donald Trump commented on the horrific murder of refugee Irina Zarutska, whose death at the hands of a schizophrenic with a criminal history sparked outrage in the US.
The 23-year-old Ukrainian was stabbed in a “random attack” on August 22 while boarding a train in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
CCTVHer brutal murder shocked the nation, as the attacker, Dekarlos Brown Jr., was homeless at the time of the attack and already had 14 prior arrests.
Outrage grew when shortly after the crime, fundraising campaigns began to support the murderer, causing public anger.
On his platform Truth Social, Trump stated that the Democrats “have blood on their hands,” blaming them for Irina's death due to their refusal to incarcerate dangerous criminals.
“I saw the horrific video of the beautiful young Ukrainian refugee who came to America to escape the brutal war in Ukraine, and who was brutally attacked by a crazy psycho,” he wrote.
“The criminal was a known repeat offender who had been arrested and released on bail without cash 14 times before.”
Trump emphasized that North Carolina and other states need to improve “law and order” and expressed concern about the lack of outrage from the media over this tragedy.
FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS CAUSE OUTRAGE
After Irina's death, a GoFundMe was created, which was later removed, asking for financial help to defend Brown, citing “racism” as the reason for his actions.
Several fundraising campaigns claimed that Brown became a victim of the system. However, GoFundMe stated that such campaigns were a violation of their rules.

The public was outraged by such fundraising. One user wrote: “This cannot be true. He [allegedly] killed in cold blood, and his supporters want you to think he was a ‘victim’ of the system.”
PRIOR ARRESTS
Brown had previously been arrested in January 2025 for abusing the 911 system, claiming that a “synthetic” substance was being injected into his body that controlled his movements.
Patrol officers were unable to help him, after which he became aggressive and was arrested shortly thereafter.
Numerous subsequent arrests revealed that Brown had a complicated past that was far from over.
