Tusk to Hold Urgent Consultations with EU, UK, and NATO Leaders on Ukraine.
In light of Trump's election as President of the USA, Donald Tusk plans to hold urgent consultations with EU, UK, and NATO leaders regarding the situation in Ukraine. He will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, NATO head Mark Rutte, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries.
Tusk stated that the new political situation creates serious challenges for everyone, especially if Russia and the USA reach agreements on Ukraine without Kyiv's participation. He has already held discussions on the possible consequences of the US's withdrawal from an active policy in Ukraine with Starmer, Macron, and Scandinavian leaders.
Meanwhile, EU High Representative Josep Borrell is set to confirm Europe's support for Ukraine following Trump's victory. According to Belga, the EU has provided Ukraine with $125 billion in military and humanitarian aid since Russia's invasion, while the USA has provided $90 billion.
Previously, Tusk announced important statements on the ceasefire in Ukraine, to which Ukraine responded.
