Representatives of the Municipal Guard did not allow journalists of 'Kyiv Time' to enter the territory of the building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, which was attacked on June 23. The film crew was not let in, although local residents were already at the scene.
This was reported in the 'Kyiv Time' program on July 9.
Why journalists were not allowed
Journalist Iryna Dolya wanted to talk to the affected residents, but the municipal officials stated that it was dangerous. They also claimed that there was a possible risk of looting.
Recently, a massive rocket and drone strike was launched against Kyiv from the Russian Federation. Damage was sustained in the Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts of the city.
It was also previously reported that the Shevchenkivskyi district suffered the most from the combined attack on June 23, where nine people were killed.
The conflict situation in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv highlights the uneasy environment in the city following the rocket and drone strike. Preliminary investigations show that journalists have limited access to information and event sites, complicating coverage and understanding of the situation.Read also
