Tusk Opposed to Negotiations Between Zelensky and Putin in Budapest
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk opposed the upcoming peace negotiations in Budapest, which is considered by the White House as one of the possible venues for the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Putin. This was stated today, August 20, on social media, reports FREEДОМ.
“Budapest? Not everyone remembers this, but in 1994 Ukraine already received guarantees of territorial integrity from the USA, Russia, and Great Britain. In Budapest. Maybe I’m superstitious, but this time I would try to find another place,” commented Donald Tusk.
The head of the Polish government reminded that conducting negotiations in the capital of Hungary would be a historical irony.
It was previously reported that the White House considers Budapest as a venue for peace negotiations between Zelensky and Putin.
