Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) Kicks Off in Gdańsk
According to UATV: On June 25, 2026, the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) opened in Gdańsk, with Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko leading the Ukrainian delegation. Over the two-day event, more than 160 agreements totaling €10 billion are expected to be signed. This high-profile gathering aims to attract foreign investment and bolster Ukraine’s recovery from the devastating impacts of war. For international observers, the conference signals a pivotal moment in mobilizing global support for the country’s long-term rebuilding efforts.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen highlighted that €200 billion in aid has been allocated to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion began. She also announced an additional €90 billion credit package to support Ukraine over the next two years. These commitments underscore the accelerating pace of international backing as Ukraine works to stabilize and rebuild its economy and infrastructure.

A key development expected at the conference is the signing of a deal between a Ukrainian company and a developer, backed by foreign investment—a significant step for Ukraine’s economic growth. The URC 2026 has become a crucial platform for discussing next steps in the country’s recovery and securing the international support essential for its stability and future development.
Why Ukraine’s Recovery Matters
Rebuilding Ukraine after the conflict is a priority not only for its government but also for the global community, which is actively backing this initiative. The influx of substantial foreign investments and loans highlights the importance of regional stability and the need for a comprehensive recovery strategy that covers economic, social, and cultural dimensions.
Conferences like this can serve as launchpads for forging new partnerships and implementing strategic projects that will drive the country’s continued progress.
